This is a planetary gear set with a 4:1 reduction in each gear set, so there is a total of an 16:1 reduction. All the parts were printed at one time and fit together amazingly well with no work done after they were printed. As you might be able to tell from the picture, this print included everything from internal, to external threads, to knurled surfaces and gears of several sizes. The nuts and bolts went together well and are quite strong. This is should be the new desktop stress ball because it is so fun to crank around and be amazed by the moving intricacies! http://goo.gl/qX1dy
